Demand Engineering exhaust fitment
Seeking advice on fitment of a Demand Engineering exhaust system for a 2.4 Puma.

Looking to buy the cat-shell downpipe & sport silencer combination. Are there any pitfalls to be wary of in fitting it?

I think I've read that removing the OEM cat & down-pipe can be a bit of a nightmare...?

I have one fitted onto my 110, 2.4L one.
I have the exhaust pointing out of the side for a number of reasons and find it a wonderful system so well made. BTW when lifting off there is a howl like a owl and I love it!

It is very straight forward. The most difficult bit is the rubber hangers!

Can’t speak to the 2.4 version but I bought their 110 Td5 version.

Fantastic quality exhaust and excellent customer service. I called to place an order, they welded up a down pipe with cat shell and posted it the same day.

And to top it off it makes a pretty decent noise under acceleration without being too outrageous on idle.

I have a 2.4 version on order with them having done a load of research. Looking forward to getting it .. hopefully before the MOT Embarassed
I’d been ‘getting my money’s worth’ out of the original and it’s now way past its best.

Done mine on the drive, the old cat was tricky to get out but not that bad, the new went in very easily, top tip is to leave the flange bolts loose until you have it all in place

I'll be installing my Demand back pipe this week. Quick question ... I'll be doing it on the drive as no access to ramps unfortunately. Is there enough wriggle room to get the new pipe in with it on an axle stands and the wheel off ?

Thanks

Tony

One issue you may find is getting the old rear section off over the axle. If so jack and put a stand under the chassis, that way the axle will drop sufficiently to get the old rear section out.

Ky jelly works on the hangers as well, and then washes away in the rain.

Alternatively a 9" angle-grinder will make getting the rear section off a breeze! Mr. Green
