2005 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green
I bought the 30L about 4 years ago - no problems so far. As you say they all look the same, from the various sellers.

I found the key to good results was to use hot water, and a good quality degreaser - bilthamber surefex HD in my case. Then results are very good. Most parts only needed one good run, and a quick brush and a second pass if you had really stubborn bits in recesses,

Getting the largest size you can afford is best.

cheers, Steve

Getting baskets for a unit will give you improved results. Also for small parts you don’t need 30l of solvent. Water in the tank and a glass beaker of solvent works just as well. Kerry tanks were good if you can find a second hand one. 1995 Defender 110 CSW

This also keeps the tank's interior clean and is well worth doing whenever possible.

we used to use them in BG when i worked there to clean heat exchangers on combi boilers - joe you may know this if your a plumber, they were ok when used with the specific cleaning solution, but we gave up in the end as they didnt clean tight spaces so the hardened sludge couldnt be removed from everywhere needed, this was on plate heat exchangers which have tiny water ways
