My Machining thread
Started another "little" project for myself while running off some time consuming jobs.

Possibly the worst aluminium I've ever had the pleasure of machining but oh well....

I found it hidden somewhere and so it was free Whistle Rolling with laughter

This isn't the final one, I've still got to find the time to begin that.

Made a small mistake on the outside of this part here, oops.

I do have some Optimill Door handles arriving one day... So hopefully I can get this anodised to match eventually.

Nice work, well done.
I’m a fellow precision engineer, but I’ve been doing it for too long and I’m a bit jaded, so I rarely make anything that I’m not paid too anymore. 😔😔 2002 td5 90 county hardtop

Nice work, I used to be draughtsman and CNC programmer, so the person who ask you lot to make stuff that doesn’t fit, is the wrong size or can’t be made! 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thanks for all the positive responses.

I've been considering selling these for a while, so if anyone is interested feel free to PM me and I can come back with a price for what you like and availability.

Notice:
-Made from Aluminium billets.
-Material is at a high at the moment.
-None of the work is anodised in the photos but can be.
-Manufactured by myself in the UK

Open to ideas and suggestions.

I have access to a Laser engraver and milling machines for custom engraving.

Cheers,

Luke. Luke Marsden

A small Revival of an old thread of mine.

Recently made something to pass a bit of time and add a level of nice-ness to the car (in time).

This is a small "Carpet stay". Reason being there is a gaping hole in the carpet that obviously needs filling and so I thought why not overcomplicate it with some machining.

These parts will be used to keep the carpet in place in the rear of the 90, the Bulkhead bar end of the bed.

Heres the Item & hole:

I intend on having just the two of these and with the remaining material I shall be making a set of "V8" Coasters if anyone is interested do PM me.

Cheers Luke Marsden
