Additional Fuel tank
Brown Davies, an Aussie manufacturer have just completed their prototyping of an additional fuel tank fitted
to the Defender, which will provide room for another 70 Litres of fuel. One of the Aussie members on
FB donated his P400 as the guinea pig, expect release to the Aussie market soon. They removed the rear muffler
section on the P400 and fitted the tank as far back as possible and suggest departure angles were preserved..

Whilst it may not be of great interest to many UK members, for those that do extended tours off the bitumen with
major distance between fuel stations it may provide the additional range needed without the need to carry/store
multiple jerry cans yet another pommie bar steward down under

Do you think you could fit an extra tank to a 90?

I wonder what modifications must be made to the exhaust pipe. Longer how the connection to the main tank is made. Does anyone have any information?

If you are on FB “all new defender owners group” buzz Kevin Averill who had the
mod done to his P400. I know they removed the rear muffler box yet another pommie bar steward down under
