It's a bit harder to find a tub for the back of mine at the moment and with the knowledge of knowing where it came from Rolling Eyes
What's up with the current one? I always liked the look of an honest working defender Smile[/quote]

As she is working all the time, i can't have her in a my indy's for long, so if i had a replacement, i could swap them over, hopefully in a day or two and then i could get the original tub repaired, there's a lot of ali-rust and then swap it back when done Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Also, I'm completely in love with the looks of this 110SW - I haven't a clue what colour it is but it's perfect!

The mud certainly helps too - looks purposeful on it's 16" rims! Stuart

Stuart, just caught up with your thread!

The work looks fantastic, it's going to be better than they leave the factory.

The best line...
I'll be honest though, I don't need a 130 for hard work - in fact I cant think of a rational reason as to why I even need a Defender at all!

Hi Stuart,

I saw your build when up at the weekend - that Cummins lump is just unreal, hope I get to see it when it’s done.

That’s my 110, dropped it off on Saturday and got the train back down to York on a few people’s recommendation of Stagshaw. Decent list of jobs for Josh’s lads to be getting on with.

I think it’s Fuji white but must admit, never checked,

Cheers,
Matt

Hey Matt!

Josh did say you "knew me" Laughing I asked about the colour and they told me but in my zombified state after work it went in one ear and straight out the other! Embarassed Don't think they said Fuji, but I/they could be very wrong... but the dust certainly made it look good that evening - was like a very light chalky grey. Would probably respray my next build like that Thumbs Up

The Cummins certainly is a big lump - you expect it to be big and all, but then you see it in person and realise just how big Very Happy

It'll be a wee while yet still before it gets completed - its more of an ad hoc project now given how hideously busy they've become with customers such as yourself getting "regular" work done and me becoming more of a friend. They treat me too well, have to say, got a free pizza last night with the lads and then left with a TD5 90 for a couple days as a sort of "courtesy car". Totally shot myself in the foot giving out so many recommendations Snigger but they deserve the work given their unbeatable customer service and workmanship.

I knew Josh and the crew were the ones to do a build with when he didn't charge me for a bunch of extra Dinitrol work carried out beyond what we initially expected as they didn't want to leave it half-arsed. Was only because I'd just graduated Uni and moved to the Newcastle area so it was a "welcome gift"! Bow down

Their new workshop can't come soon enough though! They're currently looking at an entry date to the new premises of December.

I also believe some of the 130s panels are currently away for a little bodywork pre spray.

Once the 130 is done though I'll be sure to take it to as many shows as I can around the country and let the Def2 members take her for a spin Wink I also know that Josh is wanting to plan some sort of Stagshaw social/event one evening inviting customers round with their Landys for a good chin wag and banquet of food Mr. Green Stuart

Thanks Jit!

I'm likewise really looking forward to seeing your own 130 overlander - certainly getting your monies worth out the 110!!!

I stand by that statement Laughing my mate from the highlands calls me a city slicker Snigger

My parents still haven't a clue what I've bought or what I'm undertaking - definitely going to be surprise for my mum to put it mildly Twisted Evil Stuart

Laughing I feel like I know a few people intimately from following what they have to say on this forum, without even speaking to them!

Would be grand to have a Stagshaw meet-up, bet there’d be some cracking Defenders on show, they’d end up with a load more work - “want that one!”

Haha so very true to both. I know there's been a couple enquires about future Cummins builds Laughing

Whenever I'm there I look round at all the customer vehicles and go, oooh I don't like that or what were they thinking? and occasionally, I'm going to need to buy me one of those. Fair to say I'm incredibly particular about modifications but people are inclined to spend their money as they wish.

Your 110 is probably my favourite so far that I've seen although I'm yet to stick my nose inside. Thumbs Up Stuart

Wasn't originally going to do anything with my axles for a few months but they were a great price and room in the budget allowed the purchase Thumbs Up Stuart

I thought they looked familiar.

Let us know how these work for you. Will you going off road with them?

I'll let you's know.

Won't do any serious off-roading for the first few months until I'm happy with how everything is. But eventually yes I will Thumbs Up Stuart

So there seems to be a shortage of Firestone 1t26d7 air bags so I may be running standard springs until I can source a set at an acceptable price.

Off Topic I have completely fallen in love with this little TD5 90 the past few days:

It's so charming and rubbish in all the right ways if that makes sense Laughing
It's totally and completely original right down to the factory stereo that doesn't even accept a 3.5mm jack!

Will need to add a stock 90 TD5 in basic farm spec to the dream garage list - smell and all Very Happy Stuart
