Those steering wheels are very scarce...
When I wanted one, I bought the cheapest 48 spline I could find on ebay... I thought that what I save from the purchase price, I can spend in a 48 spline column. When it was delivered it turned out to be a 36 spline  The lotto offices were still open that day, but I passed, as I cannot be lucky twice on the same day  1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

are you sure your defender is a 36 spline? My 300 was a 48, if you want a wheel with a fake air bag, then you are looking at a puma Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Yes definitely a 36 spline
 only the CSW were fitted with 36 columns why?

Dug the one out I bought for 07 puma, it didn't fit. This one has 36 splines from what I have managed to count. I bought it 2nd hand, it's sat on shelf since. Never even got around to test fit as sold the puma!
