Bookers Card
Anyone got one of these? i have a makro card that one of the lads got me years ago, but i am looking at getting one, there is a bookers around the corner from me.

You need to have your own business, sadly and work no longer supports makro stuff. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Makro are owned by Bookers, so they're largely the same thing these days. If you have a Bookers card then you can use it to apply for a Makro card but don't know if it works the other way around. Probably worth a phone call, I guess. Darren

I can confirm it works the other way round as this is what I had to do - my local Makro shut down to be developed as flats. If you have a Makro card they will issue you with a Bookers card

I have a Bookers card, but don't use it much. The way their pricing works is that you get a rebate if you buy loads of stuff. Most people won't get close unless you own a shop. I believe it's still good for nappies.

Just pop into your local Bookers with your Makro card and they will issue you a Bookers card

Actually if someone else got you the Makro card would probably need to be them that applies for the Booker card

Yes, but not related to anything Booker sells. Just need VAT registration.

What do you need from Booker?

I used to have a Makro card. To be honest I never found anything very cheap in there so stopped using them. It always looked good till you added the VAT.

Unless things have changed, Dad used to have a card for Bookers through his works social club. The positive is you can buy in bulk (it would have been great for stocking up on toilet roll at the start of the pandemic Laughing ), the downside was they were very rarely much cheaper than Sainsbury’s which I guess is why independent grocery shops struggle on price?

Even if I was given a card, I wouldn’t bother going. That’s just my take on it.

Costco is life, the food is pretty cheap for the size of it and the amount of interesting crap they sell is amazing, they don't quibble if things go wrong either, we bought all the appliances for the farm through them and when they have gone pop you take it back and they tend to just give you a new one. They are also dam good for tyres (providing its Goodyear, Michalin or Bridgestone).
