Brand New 21 Defender X on limp mode (check engine light)
I have the defender for 5 months now (5500 miles). Drove it to a pave winding road (highway 1 near San Francisco) yesterday and got a check engine light and car went to a limp mode. I have my family with me and a dog so I’m driving slow. Engine is very shaky and rev doesn’t go over 3k. It’s very frustrating that a brand new car will go to a limp mode this early . We have 2016 Range Rover with 60k miles on it and we never have a problem. Will bring defender to the shop tomorrow. I saw the TFL YouTube video regarding check engine light and they replace there Defender with this issue. I hope the dealer can fix the problem. Any advice regarding this . Thanks in advance

Update: Defender was at the shop for 4 days. 1 spark plug failed . They had to replace it. Now I have doubt bringing defender off road thinking something going to break. I paid 100k for a car worrying something going to break . I do really regret buying this car.

You’ve had one issue with a spark plug, not worth worrying about IMO. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It's a simple failure , don't worry you'll be fine.
