I have the seven seat, the rear seats fold flat under the cargo area, so you do not loose any real
space in terms of load area above the floor, but lose a fair bit of under floor storage .. The seats are good for those who are out of booster/kid seats (no isofix), or basically giving someone a lift back from the pub if you have to squeeze in a few extra bodies.. but certainly any kids hitting the teens will not be that happy after a while stuck in the back for any length of time.. Definitely worth a trip the dealers to check it out, the space and rear seats are nothing like as spacious as on the D2, D3 or D4.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Hi Zilch, thanks for the response - much appreciated. Interesting that the third row seats are not as spacious as the Disco. The D3 and D4 rear seats were perfectly adequate for proper grown ups!
I will try to find a dealer with a seven seater in stock and have a look. Thanks again. |

We’ve just moved from a D4 to a new Defender and dropped the 7 seat option as they are really only for small children and not as practical as in the Disco. Freed up some cash for other options

It is called "5+2" - rather than 7-seats - for a reason. I assume the 130 may eventually address that and include a "real" 7-seat option when it launches next year on some markets where 3 rows of seating are in high demand, such as here in the US.
