Swapped Sawtooth Style for Genuine JLR
We've owned our 90 for five years now. It was supplied by T Elliot wearing some aftermarket sawtooths of unknown origin with Continentals. These sawtooth style alloys have been fine, they are identical in casting to genuine wheels but the paint finish has failed and is bubbling.

I was just going to get them refurbished, but with the increasing value of the vehicle and intending to keep it forever, I pushed the boat out and ordered a set of genuine wheels. Also, just for a change, I opted to get some Goodyear MT/Rs fitted.

The new wheels/tyres, plus some chassis corrosion protection maintenance has really freshened it up.

Looking great.

But would even look greater with the black / green oval center cap.

I am not a fan of non genuine alloys, and the original ones become prohibitively expensive when you add taxes and shipping costs to my location.
So just wondering if you still have the old non genuine rims, what you would be looking at, of course if you want to part with them. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Thanks all. I will have a look for the black/green centre caps. Thumbs Up

I'm a bit fussy about anything critical being non-genuine, or at least OEM, which is why I made the change and opted for the MT/Rs.

@Dinnu I have stored old wheels and Contis in my garage but don't intend to keep them. I have been thinking about what they might be worth as they are and putting them in the classifieds here. They absolutely need a refurb, not from damage but because the paint is coming off allover. Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Ahh, ok, so still with the rubber on.
Buying with tyres does increase the shipping a bit. Bitten once, as I bought a new set of 4 aftermarket wolfs and GoodYear MTRs and had to pay close to 300euro shipping (having had a shipping quote for much less before buying). And that was pre Brexit. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
