Front Runner Wolf Boxes
I saw on the Devon 4x4 website that they sell what looks like identical copies of the Front Runner Wolf boxes under the brands Terrafirma and XS Expedition. Has anyone bought them and if so how do they compare to the genuine Front Runner boxes?

Are the Wolf boxes the ones to go for? Also been recommended Nomad boxes - how do they compare?

Polypropylene copolymer material for boxes gives a softer and more flexible feel, it's what the Nomad boxes are made from ( DeWalt use it for their tool storage systems too), the down sides are that it is susceptible to UV damage and are flammable.

This link gives you some facts about PP;

The others are made from high density polyethylene plastic which is strong but not as flexible , but I've never been a fan of these style box's as they can shatter from experience ( tool box's in this instance )

I believe the Frontrunner wolf boxes are made from high density polyethylene too, but I'm going on looks and feel of them only.

I was looking at Wolf boxes recently and by far the best price I found was from APB Trading:

Their delivery cost is a bit steep but if buying several then the boxes still work out much cheaper than the likes of Flatdog or Devon4x4. Darren

I'm still using my boxes from my Transafrica trip 20+ years ago!

They stack and you can sit on them.

The lids can distort a bit if not left fastened to the boxes and the catches snap occasionally.

Peter (First Four) has a good deal on the Frontrunner boxes in his eBay store with sensible shipping.

^^^ Those are the 'cub' boxes and quite a bit smaller than standard wolf / frontrunner boxes hence a bit cheaper.

yes APB are usually the best priced boxes. all the ammo boxes come from 1 of 2 SA factories I was told by someone in Campmor or TentCo SA. 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent
