Wheel Spacers
Looking at getting some wheel spacers is there anything I should avoid. THinking of 30mm as they appear to be the most common. Anything to be aware of or any recommendations?

Make sure they are good quality, and hubcentric. I used terrafirma ones for two years without issue. Rakeway, Optimill, Flatdog are other decent makes.

You quite often see second hand, but you never quite know what you might get, so be careful. James

As said, buy good quality and new. Ive had mine on for 8 years now and no issues at all, use thread lock on the nuts,

Cheers, just 1 question what do you mean by Hub centric. is that those that have the raised parts to help with aligning the wheel.

Yeah in a way, the hub centric also holds/supports some of the weight instead of it all on the studs 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

Budget on £40 to £50 per hub for top quality (Rakeway) including the nuts.

Just fitting some Terrafirma 30mm hubcentric wheel spacers to a Puma and was surprised to find that after sliding the spacer onto the hub, there’s a little bit of play. Likely less then 1mm, but can definitely lift the spacer up a fraction, before the nuts have been tightened of course.
I was expecting the ‘hubcentric’ nature of these to provide almost an interference fit - at least with no noticeable wiggle room.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Cheers,
Matt

The hubcentric bit is between the wheel and the spacer rather than the spacer and the hub. It seems counterintuitive but they all seem to be the same. Darren

Just to chime in, I also chose the Terrafirma 30mm spacers since initially needing them and have since used quite a number of the sets on various vehicles I own. Value for money I think they're very good!

I did find on some of the older / higher mileage vehicles, the spacer didn't always sit flush. However this was down to the hub face and lip area having a bit of surface corrosion / debris that caused the spacer to not slip on. Once roughed up / sanded off by hand, they slipped on.

There should be no play and should be even all around / flush to the hub face! (Same should be said about the wheels locating onto the hubcentric spacers)

My other low mileage (to be read pampered) defenders, they've slid on just fine.
