Chequer Plate Under Rear Seats in an XS CSW

I have seen several posts from people who have taken the rear forward facing seats out of their CSWs. I just wondered if it is possible to fit chequer Plate on the bootom of the tub between the wheel arches under the lower rear seat brackets. From the pictures I have seen with the seats removed, the lower bracket doesn't appear to be fixed to the floor and so I reckon chequer plate could be fitted without cutting around the brackets. Has anyone done it?

I think that the thickness of the plate and tread pattern would give you real problems when trying to bolt the brackets back through, I know I struggled when I carpeted the whhelarches and tried to get the bolts back through.
