New order

Well today my heart has overtaken my mind and I’ve placed an order
It’s a 110 XS 250 in Gondwana Stone
Acorn upholstery
Towbar
Cold climate pack
Large Screen

I’m not new to Landrover having previously had a Discovery 1, 2 and 3 and also a Full Fat Range Rover.
I bought the Rangie in 2008 and kept it just over 3 years. I tell people it was probably the best car I ever had and the worst. it was just so unreliable and it got to the stage that SWMBO would not drive it as you didn’t know If it would start due to it keep flattening the battery. It spent more time at the dealers than enough and so I sold it when the warranty ran out.
Since then I’ve had 2 Volvo XC 60, s which have been very reliable.
I’m still drawn to Landrover and have been a member on Martins forums since 2005, though on a different user name.
I’ve driven one off-road at Skipton last September and fell in love with it.
I’ve been following this forums comments from the beginning and read the good things and the bad ones. Just hope I’ve made the right decision, I think I have.

I buy LR because I have a love for the brand, Defender’s my 11th. Yes they are far from perfect, yes LR couldn’t care and yes I’d probably get better service elsewhere. But there’s just something about LR.

My 90 has had a couple of minor niggles but nothing that would put me off.

Definitely the right decision

Can anyone tell me if the new Landrover keys are motion sensitive, I.e they go to sleep if not moved. New Volvo keys are .

Nice and now the wait. Hopefully it will be quicker to build than my P400 XS 110 order.

Did I see that you have a November build date?

Mine is still unslotted and coming up to 6months. So much for the higher spec models taking precedence

No I haven’t a clue when delivery will be, I was originally told that it should be by the end of December, but latest update from dealer is that they don’t know. I’ve said that I want the digital dash and large screen, so will just have to wait and see.
There was someone on one of the Facebook sites the other day who had ordered a XS about the same time who said they had a delivery date of the 17th December. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Noted. If I hear anything I will let you know. Dealer can back to me last week with an dont know but hopefully we'll hear something soon.
