Somebody has been used mod-sales.co.uk
Friends,

I like to know if somebody used this internet surplus store.
I would like to buy the following item as a recovery and be towing point.
Anybody knows the resistance of this piece?

Eduardo, I have been in the army for nearly 11 years and have never seen one of these!!. We use Jate-rings on the front for serious recovery or the centre pin on the bumper for towing.

Jate rings will also only cost you about £15-20 for a pair.

They bolt to the top of the bumper/front bell arms on series and i think 90s (shackles pins then pass through them). We used to use them for airportable opps. I am pretty sure we used them on the rear but for the life of me I can't remember (it was quite a long time ago). This said I would agree with the above and go for jate rings.

Thanks for the prompt answer.

The Boy.

In fact they put it in the bolts that joint the chassis with the front bumper

Was my thought also...
Glynparry from were you get it at £15-20 for a pair?
I was looking in famous four and cost £16 each (around £ 40 here in Chile)

Finally I get some hooks (12,000 lb) as an alternative option at £14 put here in Chile.

I bought my Jate Rings on eBay and they are rated and have been tested. They are tough as boots. They are like these ones, but i can't see that these ones are rated for weight.

It is important to go for forged Jate Rings (as the military use) as they are stronger because they do not have a join. The same concept as arches in engineering/architecture - an egg is stronger than a box etc. Confused
