Rustproofing

Thanks to the forum search button, I have been researching various rust proofing systems, back in the day I would have filled an old Shutz gun with waxoil and diy, however time marches on...
So just collected my 2011 defender from DPG, North Yorkshire (no connection) for Dinatrol rustproofing treatment, very happy with the results and quality of workmanship, those of you who know Paul, will I'm sure wish him a speedy recovery.

DPG Dinitrol Rust Proofing

Hi, Just contacted DPG re rust proofing my 90 Hard top. How did their rust proofing treatment last? Have you had it redone?

i've done all of my trucks with Lanoguard over the last few months, please with the results.
£60 for the kit which easy does 1 vehicle with plenty to spare.

Takes about half an hour to apply following a jet wash.

Another vote for Lanoguard here.

Cheap, simple to apply and give good protection.

Unfortunately all those brackets are harbouring rust and damp between themselves and the chassis which will creep under the wet wax

I did the Dinitrol treatment 4 years ago, I was very impressed by the professional application I had done, 4 years down the line would I do it again ........ no I went for waxoyl this time round a quarter of the price and very happy with it. 2015 HT XS 90

Why waxoyl over dinatrol? Do you feel the waxoyl is better or more value for money?

will give you some more info as to why I have gone old school on the chassis treatment this time.

The waxoyl cost is also less than a third of the price of the Dinitrol so I figure a full waxoyl every 18 months is the way forward.

Both Vanstones and GT torque made a fantastic job of cleaning and drying the chassis pre application of both products and both sent me photos and put the defender up on the ramp for me to inspect prior to driving away.

As well as the external of the chassis being done I also had the internal and cavities done as well. 2015 HT XS 90
