Nice! That seems a long wait. I've one on order (placed a month ago) and was quoted 8-12 weeks.

I think the varying delivery dates might be partly due to different dealerships having different build slot allocations. I guess there is a pecking order on the dealers with a higher throughput. On another brand a few years back I was told they had to meet a certain number of the bread and butter vehicles to get more allocation on the in demand model.

Anyway, it sounds a nice spec. And will come in nicely on the new plate. Being a few weeks away from the start of September rush probably isn't such a bad thing either. If it lasts as long as the FL2, it should take you well into the electric vehicle era. And hopefully by then they might have built a few more power stations to power this vision of a nation of so called electric vehicles.

Mine took 5 months. Deposit placed first week in December and car arrived at dealers last week in April. Picking it up next week as there was a bit of a delay in the dealer fit accessories.

Unless you manage to grab a build slot from a cancelled order it will be 4/5 months.

Dealer says we are in the ‘holding pool’ and will update us fortnightly, we were well aware of the poss wait for delivery so happy to be patient.

Just looking at options for a roof box, Thule seem to have plenty options, we’re planning a couple of road trips, so far the list has Atlantic Coast of Ireland and a trip into Scandinavia. Hoping we get some great memories with our new Defender.

Email received today from the dealer, build date of 8th October.
The order process has been relatively straight forward, a couple of issues with the configurator and options, our order was in, deposit paid, paperwork signed, a few days later the dealer mailed to say an error had been made and a couple of options we hadn’t ticked automatically should have been added to our selection. As far as I’m concerned it’s their problem but I think they’ll try and push an updated order form with an increase in cost passed our way.

Just ordered a 110 P300 HSE on Sunday. Dealer indicated November build date but I will be interested to see what is confirmed. This is to replace my 2016 FFRR.

Our October build slot has been cancelled, back into the holding pool, if it continues I’ll weigh up the options to cancel. Maybe move to a high spec 4motion transporter.

sadly we've cancelled our order, we went back into the holding pool. Dealer refunded our deposit. I'm very disappointed but we need a vehicle for the winter, we still want a Defender so looking to lease a pickup in the interim and reorder when things sort themselves out.

That's pretty poor. Do you think you got pushed out for a higher value order? Not great for customer service. I just got an email saying my 90HT is still on track for a 5/10 build but wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

seems plenty of pre-reg from dealers, etc - would that not be an option??

It is possible we got dropped down pecking order for a more expensive vehicle, the OTR cost for our vehicle spec Ed as above was (with discount) just under 51k. I also noticed our base spec is no longer available on the configurator so I was expecting the dealer to mail asking for an increase in cost moving to an “S”. I wasn’t fussy for Alloys or Leather interior.

As regards sourcing a stock car, yes, there’s a few about but I really want Air Suspension / Cold Climate Pack and Cabin preconditioning and most of the available 90’s are on springs with mostly cosmetic upgrades.
