Where can I get 16" steel wheels?
Hi all,

I want to put my 130 defender back on steel wheels. Besides eBay etc, any idea of where I can source them?

Here's my defender, also showing it in a previous life Cool and on original wheels Thumbs Up

You'd be far better off with a set of 6.5 inch wide Wolf wheels rather than standard 5.5 inch ones, as you've have a greater choice of tyres to fit. You're really stuck with 7.50's on the original wheels whereas Wolfs give you access to the wide range of tyres in 235/85. Darren

Check they’re not the old tubed type - almost all the standard 5.5” steel wheels out there are tubed as they only made them tubeless for the last five or ten years of production.

Unless of course you want to run tubes for some reason.

The tubeless rim is on the left and has an additional ridge each side to keep the bead securely in place which the tubed rim does not have as the tube keeps the bead securely in place.
