Disabling seatbelt warning chime...
Having spent ages trying to get the warning chime disabled by inserting and releasing the drivers buckle 10 times, I realised that you need to take it slowly!

You have to wait for the seatbelt warning symbol to appear and disappear on the dashboard each time. Don’t do it too fast.

On the 10th time, you hear a chime and it’s disabled. To re enable, do the same. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Yep, I finally managed to disable it earlier this week, finally rid of the incessant bonging.

Now if someone could find a way of disabling the door open chime that would be the icing on the cake.

Did you try open and close ten times? Just as with seat belt.
Only guessing.

Does this disable it "permanently"? Also do you still see the seats in the dashboard view turn red if someone does not have their seatbelt on? I just want to get rid of the incessant chimes. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE, Eiger Gray, Black Folding Fabric Roof

I don’t know about the lights for the passenger seats as I’ve never had a passenger in mine, but for the driver at least the warning light still comes on just without the annoying chime. The effect is permanent so far.

Surely it’s easier to clip the seatbelt up as normal without anyone sat in the seat and sit over it? Whistle Ride like you stole it!!

Thx. Gareth,

Works like a charm,
my wire haired dachshund can now sit on the passenger seat without a chime regularly.
Very happy ! No Mud flaps for my 90.!

When I worked at the Land Rover Experience, South East, one of my fellow instructors got a verbal warning that came down direct from Land Rover for telling a Customer how to turn off a "vital safety system".

He never did it again! Cheers Don.

Does it matter which seat you do this on? Does it have to be the seat that is giving the warning? 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE, Eiger Gray, Black Folding Fabric Roof

I have been trying this for probably 30 times now and still can't get it to switch off Big Cry I've tried it slow like Gareth mentions, waiting for the light to come on but no luck, I've tried it with the ignition on, with the car started, with the door opened, with the door closed Laughing I'm sure my neighbours are wondering what I'm up to sitting in the car taking the seatbelt in and out Laughing

So to those who have managed to switch the sound off, how did you do it? Ignition on or engine running? Door open or closed? Colour of socks at the time it worked? Whistle Rolling with laughter Cheers Ian
