Gasket oil pan seal replacement procedure
I my quest to fix the everlasting oil leak on my 2.2tdci, I need to do some more tests but having done the rear crank seal twice now, I think it may actually be the oil pan gasket leaking into the bell housing, item 4 on the drawing below. In terms of the process, I’m guessing something like:
Gearbox and clutch off
Auxiliary belts off
Timing cover off
Timing chain removed?
Sump off
Oil pump out?
Oil pan off
Replace gasket
