It bolts on a vertical surface. Mine was connected to holes in vertical bars of the Brownchurch rack. |

Sorry, answered wrong question! It unzips, the awning unrolls, then the two legs drop down left and right. They’re the vertical props. You pull out the awning and the two arms fold out from inside the frame and fold out to hold the sides. For something so simple it’s transpires it’s ridiculously tricky to describe in words!
