Legroom
Good Evening,

I am thinking of purchasing the new Defender and wanted to ask you owners what the legroom is like particularly in the back seats. The reason I ask is that I am rather tall at 6ft 8 and will have my girls in the back at times. I currently drive a Skoda superb which has enough room. Can anyone let me know what the legroom is like especially when the drivers seat is back as far as it can go Smile

Thanks All

There’s loads of rear leg room space. I think you’ll struggle to find another vehicle with more tbh

Great. Thanks for getting back digger. I think I’ll go ahead and place an order in the next couple of months

On the D110 at least, it is very generous. I am only 6'1" but also like to drive with the seat pushed almost all the way back. Plenty of leg room for my rear passengers (3 girls here), especially when I compare it to my older RRS and Disco/LR4, where rear legroom in particular was much tighter (as well as headroom in the RRS.) I have a 5-seater. On the 7-seater I understand the second row can slide back and forth to give third row passengers more legroom. I don't know whether that makes a difference in second row legroom, but among midsize SUVs the second row of the Defender is one of the most spacious you'll find, probably at the expense of cargo room. 2020 NAS Defender 110 HSE 5-seater / Silver / Khaki / Black Pack / Black Roof / Satin Film / Cold Pack / Off-Road Pack / Advanced OR Pack / Comfort + Convenience Pack / Sirius + HD radio / HUD / Meridian Surround

Thanks Umbertob. Sounds like there should be enough space. I’ll try and get out to see one soon once restrictions allow for test drives.

'Only' 6'7 and short-legged, but when I was test driving I got on the back and was fine. Headroom, too, which is usually even more of a problem for me. D110 P300 (now here) -- Pangea Green / white roof / white steelies / Off-road pack / towing pack / cold-weather pack / heated seats and assorted fun odds and sods
