The puma clutch death rattle... Except only when cold.
Is this normal? On startup, when the vehicle is cold. The clutch rattles like mad. It's definitely the clutch. Pull the plates apart by depressing the pedal and it goes instantly.

When it's warm, it's silent.

That normal? Well.... I know it shouldn't do it... But do they fail like that when they go?

Mine did that, went quiet after a mile or so.
Springs broken when it was split to replace clutch

Mine rattled for years, I only had the t changed at 99k because it started slipping🙂
I had the intermediate shaft replaced at the same time and solid half shafts fitted.
It’s like a new vehicle now!

I guess if you commit to "yep, at some stage you may need a flywheel too if the springs have knackered it" then the rattlings not doing any 'harm' per se.....

I say this as a new clutch and an LOF single piece adaptor shaft appears to be £600 Inc VAT plus postage.

Which is a lot.

For something LR really could've done with getting right for us the first time.

Even more so given my vehicles only covered 18000 miles from new...

Thanks.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad LOF are fixing the issue I'm just cross they have to.... And more so, that I/we all have to pay for them to have to do so!
