My reluctance, ignoring the permission side, is I have no real use for it, it would end up being a driveway ornament costing me £500 a month just to park it there. I doubt I’ll be able to do a North Cape road trip this year, next year would be a firm maybe, my days of serious off roading are finished, for general use I have my Karoq which is brill, I don’t want to chop that even for a Defender. Even if I got the green light I’d have to think about it. Before COVID we had just done 2 x 6 months bucket list travelling stints, £60k would pay for another 2 or 3 of those, if the world ever returns to “normal”.

But I still can’t delete the AT app from my iPad.

OK, so JLR didn’t want my order. So it’ll have to be a MY22 instead...

My dealer assured me that customers with orders for MY21 cars which were converted would have their orders fulfilled first. But that still means June at best...

At least the delay has given me the opportunity to change my colour choice a second time
