Reversing Spotlight
I've got a cheap LED reversing spotlight that pulls about 3.2 Amps. Can I wire that straight into the existing reversing light or do I need a relay? Planning on fitting without a switch, it just comes on when the car is in reverse.

Thx
J

I did the same. Straight in to the reversing but also added the ability to turn it on as a work light from the rear and the front.

Handy to get people to back off when travelling close🤥

Any chance of directing to the one you bought? I can't ever see my parents neighbours bush in the dark... The thing is gradually getting flattened by my spare wheel lol. Changing out the bulb for an LED would be ideal.

It’s a farCorners item. At nearly 5 years old it’s ageing well. Does require a couple extra holes to bolt it to the tub too, has a nice reinforcing plate on the inside to spread the extra weight of the light also.

Also houses an LED number plate light.

It does stick out a bit more than standard so not really suitable if you have a rear ladder. Unless you’re careful with your footing. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html
