There are two recommended pressures, the "default" normal load and a light load. Being mostly by myself in the car and not carrying much cargo, rock sliders/winches/skid plates (yet) or pulling heavy trailers, I went with the light load pressure, which makes the ride a lot smoother and more comfy. Actually pressure figures I mentioned are for light loads. I’m afraid to guess, what would be pressure for default load

i'm glad this thread came about. i never realized there were 2 load recommendations. i've been on the 47/50 psi setting since day 1. i just went out and lowered to 36/39 and will see how it rides. not that i had any particular issues or concerns at 47/50. although when i saw those numbers on the door sticker i was a little shocked. never owned a vehicle with such high values.

I queried why the spare needed to be at 50psi with Customer Relations......... answer.... “because the engineers say so”
In the recent cold weather my spare has flagged a low pressure warning when starting up (my car lives outside year round) and warns me that it is at 42psi. I move the car 4m down the drive and the tyre sudddnly re-inflates to 50psi all on its own and the warning icon on the dash disappears! Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

My software was updated 28.01 with no change to this matter. So it’s definitely LR intention to choose such figures for tyre pressure

Quite normal tyre pressure for a vehicle of that size and weight. My previous car has been recommended to be at 3.3 to 3.5 bar with high load. Running my New Defender on 3.2 bar.
