Laser Spots on Roof Rack/Roll Cage - where does the wire go?
This is a question that has popped in my head after another member’s post, as I hope to get some Lazers (or equivalent 4-bulb LED auxiliary lights) to eventually mount on my forthcoming roll cage or roof rack. My question, is where does the wire from the spots go to get into the cabin? Is it routed under the gutter and forced through a gap between door and doorframe, or is it through a hole made in the roof? If either version, how, where? Photos?

Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Have you been happy with this option? I don't want to drill any visible holes, and your option with removing a bit of material underneath the door seal seems to be the best option to me. I want to do this on the weekend, plan is to go through the rear door seal, up into the headliner/trim and then back down to the passenger side box underneath the seat. Anything else I should know before I remove the material/modify the seal?

Yes always works for me, just need to notch a small hole in the door lip. I then use a little bit of black insulation backing, the sticky stuff and pack it around. Even with a power washer I don't get any water thru the seal. The rack clamp will sit a fraction lower and I don't go mad tightening this clamp but you hardy notice.

Thank you all. Awaiting photos. Mudstuff extra wide A-pillar trim sounds useful as I've lots of headlong speaker cabling running through them already. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

As mcma1, through the top corner of the door. There's already a gap under the door seal,( land rover build quality) The only thing I had to do is a bend in the cable before it goes under the seal, this allows the rain to drop off the cable rather than track down it and into the cab. Thumbs Up
