300Tdi flash/horn not working - interior light removal
I've recently fitted a full tilt (coming from a truck cab), and in the process, I cut the three wires for the interior light, put heatshrink over each one, taped them up and shoved them back behind the dashboard.

It now seems that the horn, flash and full beam don't work. I noticed it pretty much as soon as the conversion had been done, so perhaps it's no coincidence that cutting the three wires is related?

I think they are on the same fuse also. I did cut the wires with the battery connected and there was a spark - would this have blown the fuse and possibly a new fuse may be all that's required? The vehicle's wiring loom is in perfect order (no chafing/tape all in good order) and the contacts on the stalk should be absolutely fine.

Thanks for any input.

If there was a spark, you've blown a fuse and it should be a simple fix.

Yep - most likely a blown fuse. I had my son do this to me not so long ago. Because the interior lights are permanently live/earth switched it's easy to create a short. Donald
