Have you added any other packs or off road specs that included the rear e diff? Got to be careful with these packs as some include the Sam items you have selected elsewhere

I've added the Towing Pack which here in the States adds:
- All Terrain Progress Control - Terrain Response 2 - Configurable Terrain Response - Advance Tow Assist - Tow Hitch Receiver |

So I specifically asked about this
Without the off-road pack, you can't get the E-diff. It's a configurator error that you can select it for $0 and will not fulfill. Only way to get it in the states, at least according to my dealer, is to option the off-road pack. |

interesting that in the US you need to specify the pack, in OZ you can specify the E-diff (which i had fitted)
as a stand alone factory option at $806 Australian, which is about $620 US under "Options", Capability and dynamics. The complete car is much more expensive than USA and some of the options too.
Not sure why the regional difference. Someone with too much time on their hands should do a spread sheet comparing model prices and extras across range an locations. - but cars seem between 20 and 30% more in UK than USA? Tax? Another expensive one is the TR2 package (Advanced Off Road Capability) - just software (as far as you can see) - £1070 Rear Diff £1020 Activity key £325 ($200 in USA) Front Undershield - £844 |

I needed the Tow pack so that included TR2, APTC, Configurable etc, which in Aus cost $2329 AUD plus govt charges, that includes the Tow hitch receiver (not the hitch) electrics, trailer assist etc.. about 1200 pounds. possibly a more cost effective option depending on what they charge in the UK.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |
