No idea how many were fitted with that seat option across the 2 year recall period, but its going to be an expensive recall if the all the seats need replacing. Unless they can treat the existing seats with some kind of fire retardant.

Won't it just be seat covers - if so I'd imagine each dealership has an in-house expert dealing with other seat cover related warranty issues.

Could be, but I bet there aren't many dealerships with technicians skilful enough to do a full seat cover replacement. Even with a string of other seat cover warranty issues!!!

I guess they could swap them out on an exchange basis with a specialist firm doing the cover replacements centrally.
But then again, would you want a set of potentially manky seat innards from someone else's 2 year old Evoque?
