The mileage is not a concern by itself, but there’s a couple of things that do raise concern. It looks like someone has been using the rh side of the rear tub for target practise. What are those pieces of checker plate hiding? The switches that have been relocated for the double din stereo are on the side facing away from the driver, which may not be very user friendly. The colour scheme is not original I don’t think, I’ve never seen contrasting sills. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I had similar thoughts. It seems a lot of money for a very 'messed with' example Confused Darren

Personally I dislike chequer plate anywhere on a Defender, but that's my personal preference, however, taking a completely objective view this particular vehicle seems a bit too chavvy...chequer plate everywhere (& probably hiding issues), new tyres which are different to the spare (I've got a thing about matching tyres) & it's hard to put a finger on but it just doesn't look right.

But the price...my brother in law recently bought a rather beautiful example of a 2014 110 for not much more than this 07 vehicle...seems very pricey to me.

Finally, the ad say private seller, however, in the main text it also say Part Ex considered & finance arranged...trader? Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

Just to ad a quick note to this thread. I had a 2007 110 van with 245,000 miles that drove and ran really well, sold it to a friend who still uses it and has had very few problems. I am currently running a 2009 110 CSW with 181,000 miles and again, a superb drive with very few niggles. Buy a car on condition and history, don't be put off by the numbers on the odometer!!!

Hi All

Back in the Defender Puma game again after leaving 10 years ago.
Just took ownership of a 110 USW 2.4 with 123k on the clock.

Just wondering what proactive engine maintenance I could do.

What I've planned

1. Engine flush and oil change
2. Injector seals
3. EGR blank and remap
4. Allisport Intercooler with above remap
5. Glow plugs (slow to start)

Anything else? 1964 Series IIA SWB Truck Cab - gone

Clean (or possibly replace, depending how mad you want to go) the MAF and MAP sensors. You could also consider renewing the VCV as they seem to fail regularly enough to almost be considered a service item.

Depending on the service history, you could also consider coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid along with the associated rubber hoses if you really want to go the whole hog. Darren
