Went out to drive some white roads this morning with my oldest son. Had to 'rescue' a car from the Snake Pass summit. Mum, dad & 2yr old daughter had pulled over to look at the snow but dad had pulled off the road into the gutter and couldn't get out. 
When me and Jnr arrived, Mum was out of the car with bawling daughter in her arms while dad was flapping about looking useless. None of them had coats despite the wind, snow and sub-zero temps! Two minutes work to get them back on the road, most of which was spent trying to explain to the driver who seemed to be having lots of trouble understanding that I didn't want him to drive but just point the wheels the right way and I would slowly tow him back to the road. I think he just expected lots of revving and wheel spinning!!! Fekwits, the world is full of them! 
Funniest line they came out with was "we can't get a phone signal or anything". What did people ever do before mobile phone took over their lives? |

On a MRT callout in the Peak District today and the weather went from blue skies and green fields to this in about 60 minutes....
