I bought my light bar from them last year, remote control also. Very pleased with the result. Easy to fit with the supplied harness. For the money you can't fault it.

Looks good. I presume that the amber beacon function is forward-facing only, so for compliance an additional rear- and side-facing solution is required?

Forgot to mention, mine came with a basic stick on switch, while it worked well I changed it for a genuine type switch (bearmach i think) which fits into the dash and looks original.

I'm not totally up to speed with the latest regs but in essence any warning lights of that kind must be visible through a 360 degree circumference round the vehicle, so adding at least one facing outwards on each side and at least one facing the rear should accomplish that. I believe that strobes can only be used to supplement a beacon, but nobody seems to bother about that and people seem to get away with just about anything!

Very interested in this.
Initially I had decided on this one from GRP 4x4 (http://www.grp4x4.com/?product=land-rover-defender-52-night-hawk-led-bar-kit-be-the-fi) but I have now been sold on the light bar which Stew 46 has bought. I like my flashing lights. ![]() The one from LR Challenge is much cheaper than the one from GRP 4x4 so interested to hear feedback on light output. Might have to rush an order with Santa for Christmas. ![]() How does the switch work with the various modes? Is it a case of the switch only operating standard "white" and the wireless remote doing amber or flashing? Many thanks ![]() ![]() |

You have 2 remote fobs , I’ll sort some pics in the morning as it’s at my workshop , also it’s nice to have the full loom so making it easier to install ( I hope )
![]() I got the full kit on a deal , including mounting brackets etc ![]() |

It's quite easy to modify those bars to wired configuration as the wireless kit is only a couple of relay contacts on a daughter board internally triggering 12v. PM me if you want the full run down. North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader |
