Advanced Off-road Capability Pack - worth it?
Anyone got any thoughts on if it's with the extortionate £1,070 we're charged here in the UK?

I will be getting the active rear diff, and decent tyres, and know my way around terrain response fairly well...

So far as I can tell the ATPC is a bit of a gimmick and TR2's only benefit is the auto setting? Or are the other modes in some way 'better'?

Does configurable TR give you any real benefit do we think?

Would rather not waste £££s that could be better spent enjoying the new car on travels! But don't want to regret it if it really does offer some benefits... Cheers, David

The Auto and ATPC are the main 2 advantages

But obviously you can also customise (if you want )

I ordered it for the ATPC as on the experience days - I thought it was a great feature.

Thanks - I think I’m going to try and go on a Land Rover Experience day at some point to give the new defender a spin off road, and see how it informs my opinion of which specs to go for.

Anyone know specifically if TR 2 does anything other than give you the ‘auto’ setting?

Or if Configurable TR gives you any real benefits with being able to lock the rear diff? Or does the diff pretty much do it’s own thing anyway? Presumably if you put it in mud/ruts or rock crawl etc then it’s already doing it’s best to limit slip? Cheers, David

TR2 is a gimmick, all it gives you is the Auto setting.

Watching the videos of the 90s on coils and no fancy off road packs only the rear eDiff, shows, to me at least, that they’re not a must have.

No doubt many will tell me that I’m wrong Laughing

It also gives ATPC and Configurable TR - not sure you need that..

It is a lot of money for essentially software.

I've had mixed success with atpc on other lr's but auto tr is pointless. Not once has it worked where I've not selected the better setting manually on 4 of the cars I've had and used it on Mike
