Here is the new more subtle look I was talking about, I think the silver on the OEM grill works well

It will do while I'm waiting for the Nakatanenga anyway

Later I decided to remove the bumper so I could prep it for painting, it came off quite easily...
You can probably see why so I've just ordered a galvanised one Smile

I think it's because the set is designed for 'any' defender, I suppose covers would have to be specific to certain seats? Defender 90 Td5

When I spoke with them, the seats are actually different to standard seats; a bit wider and deeper foam so covers wouldn’t fit normal seats.

That makes more sense, I've sent them to my local trimmers to get a price. Hopefully they come up with the goods instead!

Good day today, the new bumper is on
Painted the checkplate silver
Revived the mirror caps

Interior stripped, dynamat fitted under the bonet and front footwells
The acoustic mat system is a nightmare to fit, it’s so heavy and I can’t get it flush around the gearbox annoyingly
But it’s in for now, I’ll have another go when the seats arrive

Going to have to add recarpeting to my to do list

She’s getting there though

Looking good there with the grill, i did toy with the idea on my old defender to have the sliver surrounds but leave the black grill. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

My dad is doing the same thing with his at the moment, but he decided to attack the front end with a hammer and one of the jacking points, just vanished. Also along with other parts of the front end. He nearly died when i told him how much one replacement part was for the front end. But monkey sees a rusty spot and decides to poke at with a screw driver or tap it with a hammer. When we don't have the equipment in place to fix it etc. Rolling Eyes Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
