Cold Start
Engine revs to ~1500 rpm for a good 15 seconds then settles in at ~750 rpm — in mild ambient air temps (45-60* F).

But it also seems to happen on restart after it’s been sitting for 90 minutes or so, with the temp gauge showing a warm engine after restart!

Seems excessive (and noisy). Thoughts? 2020 Defender 110 P400 HSE Santorini Black/Ebony

That is the normal start up characteristics on the P400 yet another pommie bar steward down under

I believe P300 is the same it revs a bit on start up.
