New Defender X - - tires, flaps, and bars !
Hello everyone - - I just picked up a Defender X in eiger grey - beautiful and really enjoying it. It came with the all season tires, and my immediate thought was to upgrade to the Goodyear Wrangler...form and function. I also want to add the flaps (either new or classic, classic is my default). Last, I plan to add the cross bars (again form and function). I am looking for some opinions before I haul off and start modding - - - - trying to assess how this will look on an X - - thanks !
Or - just leave as is.

I have the cross bars and classic mud flaps on my Pangea Green First Edition that will give you an idea.
I also have more aggressive tread patterned tyres fitted - Goodyear Duratracs.

Thanks. I am thinking about the alll terrain tire vs the aggressive off road. Mostly street use but want the option.

The Duratracs are A/Ts just a little more aggressive than the OEM optional Adventurer and a whole world of grip away from the OEM All seasons that we get here. I run my 1996 Defender on BFG Mud Terrains.......... I was surprised how quiet the Duratracs are on the tar, they are louder than the All Seasins the car came with but it’s only a tiny bit more, nothing a passenger would notice also I haven’t noticed any significant increase in fuel consumption Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Then go for the new Toyo Open Country AT3, no mudflaps on an X.... ( devaluates the design)

I think the flaps on the X would be better as the standard vs. classic. I must say I like this with out (for now). I am doing the all terrain tires in place of the all seasons.
