[For Sale] Series 3 for sale price lowered

1983 series 3 for sale. Selling obo a mate of mine who has now purchased a Defender.
Solid chassis and bulkhead , mot last May with advisories ref 2 cracked tyres. County spec, 124k unwarranted miles but probably right as he’s owned it for the last 20 years and averaged 700 miles per year. 2.3 original Diesel engine.
Recent oil and filter change. Location near Chester.
Looking for £6800.00

Looks a nice enough vehicle for someone but why do people cobble together exhaust hangers from bits of old tat when the proper thing is readily available and cheap

Ask Land Rover that, that’s how they came from the factory

It's a nice enough late SIII, with mirrors on the doors and grommets in the wing tops, as ex factory.

But it isn't County spec.

It has a hard top (no Alpine Lights, no tropical roof) with windows (non sliding) plus a deluxe bonnet.

Ask Land Rover that, that’s how they came from the factory

Land Rover never put such a cobbled together exhaust hanger on a S3. The correct bracket for attaching the exhaust hanger is welded to the chassis behind the cobbled together thing.
