The wing at the front already has a dent in it! Laughing

Maybe I missed it, but how much of it is steel vs. aluminium? I guess the body is steel because of the spot welds, rather than bonded/riveted?

Going off memory (and happy to be corrected as I may be wrong), but from what I recall of an article I read yesterday, the hood and some of the body panels will be Aluminum, but for crash protection and durability, the majority of the vehicle will be steel. How accurate the article is I don't know -- we've been exposed to motoring journalists slagging Land Rover for not having fold-flat seats in the Defender, even though they do, so it seems journalistic standards on facts are not what we'd like them to be.

The article was in the Apple News app yesterday; I subscribe to News+ and I think it was in the latest issue of Car and Driver, but it may have been a different publication. I'll see if I can find it and post a direct link to the article later today.

It looks like they have even copied landrover build quality. Straight off the production line and there is a dented wing and a wiper has fallen off Rolling with laughter

Shouldn't it be called the CX? Then there can be a XC and CXXX. Just saying.
