The Bathurst 1000.
Anybody tuning in for this race?
I'm retired so today I'm tuned in for the 4 day telecast of practicse, qualifying etc, the 1000k race starting on Sunday.
Gen 3 (new spec) cars have just been announced for 2022, the cars having to be more road version like in appearance and will have less aero making for some exciting racing.
In addition, the Camaro ZL1 has been approved for racing, to replace the Holden Commodore which is no longer sold.
So, we'll still have the traditional Ford (BLUE) V Holden but now GM! (RED)

United Kingdom 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Cairns Blue
It was broadcast although somewhat delayed and severely edited in the UK some years ago, possibly on Eurosport . Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Guys

The Aussie Superscars series is shown live and in full on BT Sports, this includes Bathurst.

Also, there are no adverts.

Normally you get two races over the weekend, a sprint race and then a longer lap race including fuel stops.

There are also endurance races that require driver changes, Bathurst being the longest race.

This year due to COVID and restricted travel they have been running three races per weekend.

I’ve been watching it for the last few years now and have to say if you want to see proper racing then this beats the F1 procession hands down.

If you record it, add on two hours to your recording. A couple of years back there was a huge delay as part of the track need resurfacing. yep, that caught me out.......

Have fun
