Ultra4 The Essential 2020 - Sept/Oct 2020 Video Blog
Alright chaps and chapettes!

I'm off to the Ultra4 Essential at the Kirton Off Road Centre (up near Hull) today, marshalling and helping set the event til Sunday. Not sure if many of you guys have seen it, but it's a pretty high level off road comp, relevantly the previous event King of Britain won by Jim at Gigglepin in a Defender derived challenge vehicle.

Me and my mate Andy are there for the duration and planning to do a video blog each day. Here's a Youtube link to Episode 1 which includes a load of footage of what went on at the King of Britain event back in August. We're taking my 110 with roof tent, and internal bunk as a camper and trailering my 90 plaything to Marshall and recover in.

they are great events the Ultra4 series, not very spectator friendly but great to compete in.

here is us on a short course: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1136766833020865

some of the rockier sections https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rhFotn-Wu...mp;index=1

Ultra4 is sort of comp safari (less speed though) and challenge technicality (at a faster speed) combined. usually over 2 days with a set number of laps (18-24miles on std course) with quickest time overall. Cheers
