That's interesting - if you look at their other items there are 11 cars all from the same dealer with the same address he uses, but there are also the tell tale collection of random cars, vans, motor homes that are typical of a scam. A year someone has managed to create a phone account that links to a legit one...

It's scams where people lift details from another ad that made me decide to put my username across all the photos I posted when I have ever sold a car on eBay - I put the name in places in each photo where it would be pretty much impossible to photoshop it out without it being obvious the picture had been doctored.

Zero feedback means no one has left a review on anything they have bought from them. First thing I look for is the feedback score if spending more than £2.99

looking at ebay tonight the site is flooded again with scam ad's. Same pictures. All they do is clutter the site and leave those looking having to spot the genuine ad. Surely someone listing 100's of vehicles for sale must ring an alarm bell at ebay HQ? 2010 XS USW

A while ago I was building an AI model to detect fraudulent listings on eBay, as it annoyed me when I was searching for my Defender that so many of them were dodgy. There are some clear patterns humans can see in the fraudulent listings, which make it possible for a model to detect it:

* Seller suddenly lists products that are much more expensive than they usually list
* Seller has no feedback (usually denoting a new account or a hacked one)
* Seller includes email or phone number within the content
* Image has been used in another listing by another seller
etc. etc.

To train my model, I needed to flag them as fraudulent so eBay could confirm they were and thus teach the model. However, even though I repeatedly flagged them they still took days to be removed. I'm positive eBay could do a lot more to solve this problem. Spotting the dodgy ones really isn't that hard at all.
