snow chains for 255/60/20" wheels
looking at what options are out and struggling to find much info. I know Land Rover have own branded snow chains but the links to these through 'accessories' on the LR website are not working this afternoon.

Quite a few items that were on the accessories website have been removed and I queried this with LRCS about 6 weeks ago and was told that I should contact my local dealership for information/advice about the items no longer showing either on the configurator or the special accessories website. I was interested in having the winch which in total on the website was priced at £5000 including VAT and fitting and was a dealer fit accessory even if you specced it on a factory order........... when I asked my dealer I was quoted a price in excess of £6000 so removal from the websites is a licence for dealers to add their own excessive profit margin and JLR has lost out on supplying and fitting a winch to my car and I’ll keep my old winch equipped 90 instead and continue using that off-road rather than enjoying the capabilities of my new 110 Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Wait for an aftermarket option Tim, new prospective owners i have been in touch with in Australia are
waiting for the likes of Opposite Lock, ARB and TJM to come up with a protection bar to enable a Warn Winch or
something similar to be fitted. An opposite lock premium bar with the warn winch cost me approx
$5K (2.5 GBP) fitted for my RRS, i was given a verbal quote of between $13-15K Shocked by my LR dealer if i wanted to
go with the LR protection bar and winch for the new Defender.. at the upper end about 3 times what i suspect
the aftermarket companies will be coming in at.. just have to wait a while before the alternative winch options start
hitting the market yet another pommie bar steward down under

I’ve come across these snow chains, seem to meet the spec.

Thule XD-16 266 fits 255/70R18

I believe all three standard defender sizes (255/70r18, 255/65r19 and 255/60r20) have an outside rolling diameter of 815mm.

I was wondering if the chain that fits 255/70r18 can also fit two other sizes?

According to LR website "Snow Traction System" (£540.00) only compatible with 18" wheels, does this applies to all snow chains or only LR's "Snow Traction System"?

Yes can confirm via Konig that the XD-16 266 fits the wheel tyre combination. The online user manual / guide for the 2020 defender states:
Full-chain traction devices can be fitted to the rear wheels of vehicles with the following tyre sizes:
255/70R18.
255/65R19.
255/60R20

Unfortunately the accessories section of the JRL website is not available at present but should be up within a few days according to the on-line help desk.

Just found the Snow Traction System in an online brochure, the code is VPLEW0140 £540.00! Whistle
Wonder who manufactures them?
