Wires are bundled in the loom . If there is a pitfall that's going to be challenge.
But first check ECU plugs. ECU is in the middle of engine bay handing on bulkhead. Be gentle, dont break anything |

The CAN bus wires are on the brown coloured ECU plug.
Do you have a multimeter you can use to do some basic resistance checks? 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I recently bought a multimeter, so I check the brown plugs with a beep test?

you should check wiring continuity on respective PINs between ECU and Instrument cluster (the PINs that are for CAN connectivity ) .
You will need eletrical manual for puma and some medium knowledge of car and electrics. If you have doubts , guess you need to visit some workshop. |

With everything still plugged in, use your multimeter in resistance setting to measure across pins 6 and 14 of the OBD port:
(ignore pin 4 at the moment) You should measure around 60 Ohms 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
