Thanks Chris - it seems very strange. I have just noticed that if you reverse the bezel with the shiny outer looking inwards it all lines up!

Click image to enlarge There's nothing unusual about the headlight bowl and the mounting points for the headlights. All I can think of is that you haven't got the retaining rings lined up properly. Many thanks Guys. I think I have got it sorted - Darren yours looks like mine - am I right in saying that the bezel is only connected to the 3 adjusters i.e. 3 o'clock 9 o'clock and 6 o'clock where the spindle comes out of the motor. What was confusing me was the additional lugs with screw holes at 4 o'clock and 11 o'clock as per picture attached. Regards Jim
