I suspect the wiper is still prototype. It looks like the one on the diguised cars. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I notice these have been removed from FB, so I suspect they got out by mistake. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

^^^ I do know what you mean, but I don't think these are the finished article.
We will have to wait and see, but no car manufacturer shows their hand this early in the testing stage. 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

Again look at that wiper and these presumably are left hookers, that would be right in the drivers view.
Cant see as that is a permanent feature, and if that is to change, what else will change with it? 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

Accepting the arguments that this isn't yet the finished article, but does that rear protection (below bumper) in 2nd picture down look quite flimsy - more for looks than function?

It has a Santana-ish look (like a Land-Rover but not a Land-Rover) to me, alien but not unacceptable. The Mk1 Cortina-like rear lights are strange.
I certainly prefer its styling to that of the New Defender. |

Trouble is, some aspects are so familiar & Defender-like that coupled with the bits that aren't, the whole thing is frazzling the brain...
I'm now thinking it would maybe be better if it was less derivative? |

One thing I had not noticed before is the bars in front of the alpine windows. I would assume it's some sort of tie-down point for lashing things to the roof?
I also like the flush fit front windscreen. So very "Defenders" that the windscreen is completely flat. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |
