Old Nanocom question.
I have an old Nanocom (greybox) It an ealy one I am sure by the spelling mistakes. Surprised

I have it from a friend who didn't need it anymore and I never managed to get it connected to a computer. I didn't really bother as I can read the faults and it gives me data.
I opened it today as it stops working when it is getting hot in the sun as I was looking what could cause that.
I noticed some jumper sticks but no jumpers present.

Now I expect not many people here still having the old style Nanocom and from them I expect even less that opened the nanocom. But if I don't ask. Twisted Evil
So does anybody know if there should be any jumpers in the old Nanocm?
I searched the net but could not find any info or pictures. Roel

Thanks very much, so that is not the reason I can not connect my laptop. Roel

Have you got the USB serial driver software installed?

Correct port number set?

I even have a serial port on my Toughbook CF-18.
I also tried an usb to serial connector and that works with the MSV-2 for the Disco 3 I had. Roel

I tested my cables and even measured the connection on the Nanocom one. Connector 2,3 and 5 have a connection Hi resistance but not open like the others

I have the same hardware version 2.1. My software version is 1.09. Could that be the problem? Do you now your software version?

If I open the Nanocom software on my laptop the screen doesn't fill up just on the bottum it says nancom not connected. Roel
