What depth of foam to insulate roof?
I’m replacing the headlining on my 90 so will take the opportunity to insulate the roof. I have sole coat on it, but what depth of foam should I be using over the top? Is 10mm too thick?

Thanks
Col

2 layers of foiled-lined camping mat went inside my roof without any issues so circa 10mm. From memory there was more space available but the local Tescos had no more camping mats in stock at the time and I was in a hurry.

I used 12mm closed cell foam and 3mm silent coat and it was tight! If I was doing it again with silentcoat/ dynamat or the like, then I would probably go for 10mm instead.

I used the black version of the silent coat too. To be safe it looks like the 10mm is a better bet so not to put any undue pressure on the headliner.
