Okay, so hers a strange question, how long would it take for 2-3 people to tear a defender 110 down to its bare chassis?

A recent one can go quickly, but an older one can take long if you need to cut all bolts. Laughing Roel

From what it looks like i think it will be a bit of both, as doors and seats i have replaced before, but had issues taking the seat belts off as they bolts and plates were rusted in

It will depend on which body type 110 you're stripping (presume van body?) There are an awful lot more bolts and panels to remove on a CSW than a van/pick up. It's worthwhile factoring in some time to catalogue/photograph where fasteners have come from and how wiring connectors etc go back together.

As a novice, it took myself and a friend about 2 days to completely strip my old 110 hard top. More recently, with several years experience I stripped a pick up to a bare, rolling chassis in about 1.5 days, working on my own with an engine crane, a good set of sockets and a grinder.

Unless the fastener you're removing is important/expensive/not completely knackered then it pays to cut/drill any that won't come undone easily. An impact driver will also save a lot of time as will, soaking all the fasteners you can see with WD40 or similar. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

It's an impossible question to answer unless the OP is more specific. Is he trying to get the chassis off and stripped, or reduce the vehicle to a pile of component parts? If the latter, stripped to every single component, or just major units? does the chassis need to be completely stripped (all pipes/clips/fittings off) or just major parts off? It makes a huge difference, as does the age and condition of the vehicle, and how reusable you want the parts to be.

It would seem that is it generally possible for a practised team to steal and strip all the major untraceable major saleable parts off a Defender in one night.

Sorry, for the lack of detail, was planning on stripping it down to the chassis as i would like to extend the chassis to a 130, its a 110 hardtop, it's a 1998, that wasn't used for 5-7 years, chassis seems to be in very good condition, and as I said, want to turn it into a 130 double cab / csw so will keep the cab and possibly the rear tub.
