Genuine rear quarter glass grills
procured a set of the above, look fairly easy to fit from the pics as they're shaped around the trim, but it's always worth checking with the brains trust to see if there's anything I need to be aware of before/during fitting. Hoping they'll arrive for the weekend so I get a break from stump pulling duties....

Well they've turned up and the instructions are either a masterwork of understated simplicity or meaningless gibberish, depending if you are a LR instruction writer or a pleb trying to actually use them.

Bring on the weekend for Censored and giggles, or as my long suffering wife put it "It's not another one of the "5 minute" Landy jobs is it?" Whistle

Are they internal or external? I didn’t know Landrover did them. Ray

Internal - I've had a pull about of the trim pieces on my lunch break and it looks like LR have massively over complicated it so I'll be going off piste I think.

Got them fitted yesterday, pretty straight forward, didn't install them quite as per instructions, was a lot easier.

Do they just attach to the trim? Ray

In short, No.

Not gonna say too much with it being a security feature, but LR seem to suggest some convoluted Censored -pokery with some supplied bolts, which I have substituted for a simpler method using black stainless self tappers and some existing holes.

Suffice to say, it's not rocket surgery once you have all the bits in front of you....

Hi argee

What's the part no and where did you get them? Link to a site?

Ive been looking for some good internal ones for an xs station wagon, but its difficult to tell from pictures how secure they are and if they'll fit. Why did you choose the originals?

Cheers

Because the were being sold on the bay unused in the packaging by someone with a crew cab who bought them in error!

Ok thanks, looks like safari equip steel ones then, not too bad price, easy enough to fit.

They certainly look the same as that - my ones are branded Land Rover, as are the fitting “instructions” and have a LR part number so maybe Mantec made them for LR?

Yes, Mantec make or made quite a lot of LR accessories. Darren
